The MDCAT test will take place on November 13, 2022. The Medical and Dental College Admissions (MDCAT) Test is one of the biggest and most important tests for almost every country. It decides the next line of professional doctors and healthcare personnel. It is a mandatory exam for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in the Medical field as a professional. Every year thousands of students try their luck to pass this entrance exam and get into a medical college. Pakistan Medical Committee has announced that the MDCAT test for the year 2022 will happen on 13 November.
The test will consist of a pre-decided paper and students will have 3 hours to complete the paper. Moreover, Pakistan Medical Commission has decided on the syllabus of MDCAT. The decision of taking the paper on 13 November is taken collaboratively in a special meeting. Provincial health minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra led the meeting with Provincial Admission Committee.
Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU) Prof. Dr. Zaiul Haq, the secretary of health, and a few other relevant officials were also present during the meeting. During the meeting, the committee decided that the Educational Testing & Evaluation Agency (ETEA) will make the paper. The agency will make the paper in accordance with the syllabus of the Pakistan Medical Commission. KMU will be responsible for the arrangements of the test.

Other centers for the test are yet to be decided. As per the announcement, the test will commence at 11 am sharp and end within the next 3 hours at 2 pm. Moreover, PMC will upload the answers and complete paper of the MDCAT online. PMC will upload the key on the websites of ETEA, PMC, and KMU website at around 9 pm on the same day.
During the meeting, PMC is actively collecting data from the students and allotting roll number slips. PMC will take care of all the financial costs that will incur to conduct the tests.
Students must take note that the merit calculation of the entrance is the same as before. The passing percentage is about 55 percent for MBBS programs, whereas students require only 45 percent marks to pass the exam for BDS programs.
