Government of Pakistan announces 5 Eid holidays for Eid ul Fitr 2023. According to moon sighting committee, this year it will be all 30 fasts and Eid will be on 22nd April 2023. Eid Special trains also scheduled for passengers as well.
Eid ul Fitr is an auspicious event for Muslims around the globe. The federal government announces the good news for all holiday lovers. In a new notification they announces 5 Eid holidays after Ramadan. According to the notification. The 5-day public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 will commence from 21 April 2023 and conclude on 25 April 2023.
“It is for general information that the Prime Minister is pleased to declare 21st to 25th April, 2023 (Friday to Tuesday). As public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.” said the notification issued by the Cabinet Division.
Earlier, the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) said that Eidul Fitr is likely to be celebrate across the nation this year on Saturday, April 22. He said that Eid will most likely be celebrate on April 22 after completing 30 fasting days of the holy month of Ramazan.
The council’s Secretary-General, Khalid Ijaz Mufti, said that the committee’s meeting is set to convene on Thursday, April 20, in order to sight the Shawwal moon.
If the crescent will be sighted on Thursday evening, then Eidul Fitr will be on Friday, April 21. However, he added, it is unlikely that the moon will be sight the same evening.
Pakistan Railways had already announced to issue the schedule of five special train on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
Pakistan Railways said five special trains are scheduled to accommodate large number of passengers. Who will be travelling to and from their natives towns.
Apart from this, due to the possible rush of passengers. Additional coaches will be carried along with the already running trains. The railways authorities have directed the workshops Division to provide additional coaches for special trains.
