Eight People Trapped in Cable Car In North-West Pakistan

Eight people were trapped in a cable car on the way to school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. 8 people of which two are adults and 6 are kids. Army rescued two kids safely but operation has to be halted due to bad weather.

The terrible incident occurred in Battgram district, Pakistan, at 7 am today. Six innocent children were going to school by cable car. They are accompanied by two teachers as well. Suddenly, one rope of the cable car broke. At that moment, the cable car was in the mid of the air. The people have been trapped there for the past 12 hours.

The cable car is hanging uncertainly on the valley. This unfortunate event left them suspended at an elevation of 1,500 feet.

According to the report, one of the adults called the news Channel and said, ‘For God’s sake helps us.’ One of their companions was unconscious due to a heart problem. He further told them that they have no water and nothing to eat.

Looking at the severity of the incident, the president ordered the Army rescue team (SSG) to send helicopters to help trapped people in mid-air.

Army teams reached in helicopters to the spot and tried to help the trapped people. They tried to get trapped people by slinging one officer through a rope from a helicopter. In addition, the army rescue team hand over water, medicine, and food to the people from the helicopter.

During the operation, one of the army officers can’t maintain his balance in mid-air on the rope due to heavy wind and water waves. They were trying to rescue them in the daytime. Due to the bad weather and river flow, they can’t complete their mission. However, the operation is halted until the light and resources are restored.

Until the last reports, the recuse team saved two children on the ground. Everyone is praying for the children they reached safely from the cable car.
