The Foreign Office (FO) has rejected a “fabricated” report alleging that Pakistan is selling secret arms to Ukraine in violation of its neutral stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The FO said that the report is “based on unsubstantiated claims and is designed to damage Pakistan’s reputation.
The Foreign Office of Pakistan has strongly rejected a report by The Intercept, an American investigative news organization. They are alleging that Pakistan has been selling secret arms to Ukraine in violation of its neutral stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The FO spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, called the report “baseless and fabricated”. She said that it was “based on unsubstantiated claims and is designed to damage Pakistan’s reputation.” She also reiterated that Pakistan maintains a policy of “strict neutrality” in the conflict. Pakistan or any other department has not provided any arms or ammunition to either side.
The Intercept report claimed that Pakistan had sold millions of dollars worth of ammunition. Including artillery shells and rockets, to Ukraine in recent months. The report also alleged that the arms sales had been facilitated by the United States. Which is trying to pressure Pakistan to take a more pro-Ukraine stance in the conflict.
FO Strong Claim
However, the FO has denied these allegations, saying that there is no truth to the report. Pakistan has also maintained that it will not be pressured by any country to change its neutral stance on the conflict.
It is important to note that this is not the first time that Pakistan has been accused of selling arms to Ukraine. In the past, there have been similar allegations, but Pakistan has always denied them.

It is also worth noting that Pakistan has been under pressure from the United States to take a more pro-Ukraine stance in the conflict. The US has threatened to impose sanctions on Pakistan if it does not comply with its demands.
However, Pakistan has so far resisted US pressure and has maintained its neutral stance. The country has said that it will not take sides in the conflict and will continue to engage with both Russia and Ukraine.
