Balochistan Declares Health Emergency To Prevent Congo Virus

The Balochistan government has declared a health emergency in the province to prevent the spread of the Congo virus. It is also known as Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). The virus is transmitted to humans through ticks found on livestock. It can cause severe symptoms, including high fever, muscle pain, vomiting, and internal bleeding.

In a bid to halt the spread of the dangerous Congo virus, the Balochistan government has taken swift action by declaring a health emergency across the province. This move comes after the virus claimed the lives of 16 people. Including a dedicated doctor, with the total number of cases now standing at 44.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki led a crucial meeting to assess the health situation in the province. During the meeting, the health secretary assured the attendees that measures have been put in place to contain the virus.

Following this decisive meeting, authorities have announced a health emergency throughout Balochistan to protect the public from further harm.
