Vin Diesel Faces Sexual Allegations by Former Assistant

The former personal assistant of famous actor Vin Diesel, Asta Jonasson, filed a lawsuit against him in December 2023, alleging sexual assault, wrongful termination, and other claims. The lawsuit alleges that the assault occurred in 2010 during the filming of “Fast Five.” Mr. Diesel’s lawyers have denied the claims in their entirety.

US actor Vin Diesel is renowned for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise and other blockbuster films. He is currently facing accusations of sexual assault from his ex-personal assistant, Asta Jonasson. The alleged incident is said to have occurred during the filming of Fast Five in 2010.

In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, Jonasson claims that Diesel, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, sexually assaulted her in his hotel suite at Atlanta’s St Regis hotel. According to the lawsuit, Diesel allegedly overpowered Jonasson and ignored her objections as he groped her. The complaint further alleges that he pinned her against the wall and engaged in a sex act on himself after she attempted to escape.

Jonasson is not only suing Diesel for sexual battery but also wrongful termination. Asserting that she was fired from Diesel’s company just hours after the incident. The lawsuit names Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, who runs his production company One Race Films, as well as the production company itself.

Potential Allegations

According to the lawsuit, Jonasson felt she was terminated because she was no longer considered useful. She has been allegedly exploited by Diesel for his sexual desires. The complaint also mentions an executive from the company allegedly making inappropriate advances towards Jonasson in the same hotel a few days before the incident with Diesel.

Vin Diesel’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, released a statement denying the allegations. It stated that Diesel had never heard of the claim made by the purported nine-day employee until now.

Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay, expressed that her client seeks accountability for Diesel and others involved in the alleged assault. He also hopes that Jonasson’s decision to come forward will empower other survivors.

Vin Diesel, 56, is not only a prominent actor but also a producer for the Fast & Furious series. He stands as one of the highest-grossing actors in Hollywood.
