Veteran Actor Khalid Butt Passes Away in Lahore

Renowned Pakistani actor Khalid Butt has passed away in Lahore due to complications from kidney and liver diseases. The veteran actor, who began his career in the 1970s, had a notable presence in both Urdu and Punjabi films and television series.

Renowned Pakistani television actor, Khalid Butt, known for his impactful performances in television, film, and theater, has passed away. The Multan-born actor started his career in 1970 as an assistant director in films. In 1978, he transitioned to acting, playing the role of a hero in his first serial, gaining recognition and becoming a familiar face in the industry.

The funeral prayer for Khalid Butt, as announced by his son, is scheduled to take place tomorrow after the Asar prayer.

Khalid Butt is known for his acting skills in popular PTV productions like “Jangal Pura” (1997), “Boota to Toba Tek Singh” (1999), and “Landa Bazaar” (2002). He had a long and successful career in the entertainment industry. He started as an assistant director, eventually directing a film himself.

Khalid Butt was celebrated for his work in numerous hit PTV serials. In recent years, he made a comeback on television with successful dramas like “Jeevan Nagar” and “Khaie“. A few years ago, he captivated audiences with his emotional portrayal of a grieving father in the drama serial “GT Road.”

Meanwhile, the news of Khalid Butt’s passing was shared by veteran PTV actor Mohsin Gillani on his Instagram account. He posted a picture of Khalid Butt with a caption announcing his demise. Noor Ul Hassan also shared the news on his Instagram account.

His contribution to the arts was recognized with the Pride of Performance award. Currently, his last project, the drama serial “Khaie,” is being aired, marking his final work before his untimely passing.
