Lahore Businessman Ameer Balaj Tipu Killed at Wedding

Ameer Balaj Tipu, the son of Arif Ameer, known as Tipu Truckanwala, was shot and killed in Lahore’s Chuhng area on Sunday night. Balaj’s father, Tipu Truckanwala, was killed similarly in 2010 at Allama Iqbal airport, and his grandfather was also a victim of hostility. The family is one of the biggest mafia groups of Pakistan.

In Lahore, during a wedding celebration, Ameer Balaj Tipu, who owned a goods transport network, was shot and killed by an unknown person. This incident occurred in the Chung area. Balaj Tipu was the son of Arif Amir, also known as Tipu Truckanwala, who was killed in 2010 at Allama Iqbal Airport. This family has a history of being targeted due to an old feud.

The police said Balaj, in his early 30s, was attending a wedding when an armed man attacked him, leaving him critically injured. Three others with Balaj were also hurt, but the attacker was killed in return fire by Balaj’s security team.

All four were taken to Jinnah Hospital, where Balaj couldn’t survive his wounds. Doctors mentioned he had received four bullet wounds to his chest. Due to the family’s history of enmities spanning generations, police were on high alert at the hospital.

PML-N’s MNA-elect Attaullah Tarar also rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news. The police suspect a long-standing feud might be behind the attack, but investigations are ongoing to confirm.

His death has caused sadness and anger among his supporters, who gathered at the hospital to mourn. Some women were seen grieving loudly, while others supported him through chants.

The police have secured the area and started investigating the incident. They are trying to understand why this happened and who the attacker was. So far, no arrests have been made. Balaj, who recently switched from PTI to PML-N, was known as one of Lahore’s underworld figures with longstanding feuds.
