Pakistani vocalist Aima Baig recently made waves on Ahmed Ali Butt’s program ‘Excuse Me’ with her candid remarks regarding the rising star Nehaal Naseem.

During the show, the ‘Malang’ singer, Aima Baig, didn’t mince her words when she addressed the striking similarities she perceived between herself and the emerging talent, Nehaal Naseem. She boldly asserted that Nehaal has been imitating her in every aspect, essentially mirroring her from top to bottom.

In her precise words, Aima stated, “There’s one girl I truly feel proud of, and that’s Nehaal. I recall her beginnings, and then she sounded precisely like me. If I were to highlight one of my proudest moments, it would be this because she essentially, completely copied me in every aspect.”

When questioned about whether she considered it a compliment, Aima responded, “For me, it’s an accomplishment that I’ve inspired someone to the extent that they replicated me.”

She didn’t stop there, further adding, “She even copied me; in terms of appearance.”

Nehaal Naseem, 18, has been gaining widespread acclaim for her viral song ‘Sadqay’, a collaboration with the Wajahat brothers Aashir and Nayel.

However, Aima’s statements didn’t come without repercussions. Following her remarks, she became a subject of online trolling, with people accusing her of hypocrisy and criticizing her for singling out Nehaal. Some even went as far as claiming that Nehaal’s recent song ‘Sadqay’ surpasses Aima’s entire career.

Aima also seized the opportunity to share her views on the Pakistani music industry, particularly regarding the rating of female artists. She emphasized that she believes female artists in the country are not overrated but rather underrated.
