Today Pakistan announced its sighting of the Shawwal moon declaring the Eid ul Fitr today. However, India and Bangladesh will not celebrate Eid today. Is our system is malfunctioned or our neighbors celebrating Eid on the wrong day?
Ramadan went swiftly and as you are reading this article some of you might be preparing for sheer khurma or ironing your Eid clothes for morning prayer. Pakistan’s Ruwait e Hilal Committee has a meeting today and after an extensive search and discussion, they announced the Eid ul fitr for the year 2024.
However, despite being a neighbor India and Bangladesh announced that they haven’t seen any sign of the moon and they will celebrate Eid on Thursday. Even though Saudi Arabia has completed 30 days of Ramadan, so does India and Bangladesh. Sounds fishy?
The main question arises If we leave the matter of Saudia aside, India and Bangladesh are our direct neighbors. If we can spot the moon they can do it better and faster as they use modern techniques to find the moon. So do we have wrong signs and false witnesses, or are our neighbors glitching? Confusing right?
Point To Ponder

May Allah bring all the Muslims to one page and create harmony among them. May this Eid be a good start for the kids of Palestine and end the barbaric acts of the Israeli Army.
