The reason behind this announcement is to make arrangements for the visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and to ensure a warm welcome for him. His visit plays a significant role in strengthening the relations between Iran and Pakistan.
According to the notification, all educational institutions and government offices in Lahore will be closed on April 23. However, it is important to note that the Public Civil Secretariat and related offices will remain open. It is announced to ensure that important government events are not disrupted during the President’s visit.
The announcement comes ahead of the expected visit of the Iranian President to Lahore tomorrow. Earlier today, Iran’s President Raisi came to Pakistan for a three-day official visit. He arrived in the capital city along with his spouse, a group of important government members, and senior officials.

The Foreign Office mentioned that Raisi landed at the Islamabad airport. Housing Minister Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Tipu welcomed him at the airport.

After the arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Iranian President at the Prime Minister’s House. PM Shehbaz honored Raisi with a guard of honor during his visit.
