Hajj 2024: Saudi Ministry Announces Deadline For Umrah Pilgrims to Leave Kingdom

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced a deadline for Umrah Pilgrims to leave the Kingdom. Foreign pilgrims holding Umrah visas will have a duration of 90 days starting from their entry into Saudi Arabia. 

Now, the visa validity lasts for three months after entering Saudi Arabia, expiring by May 23, 2024 according to Gregorian calendar or the 15th of Dhul Qa’dah in the Hijri calendar.

Saudi Ministry provides clarification by giving answers to people’s queries received on its “Beneficiary Care” account on a social media platform. Before, the final day for Umrah visa holders to come to Saudi Arabia this year was Dhul Qadah 15, 1445. Moreover, the validity of the Umrah visa extends for three months from its issuance date. It will not vaid from the date you arrive in Saudi Arabia. 

The deadline for pilgrims to depart the kingdom is set for Dhul Qa’dah 15, 1445, according to the Saudi Gazette. This measure aims to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims to the holy cities for the annual Hajj 2024 pilgrimage. 

It is also important to note that after the 90-day duration expires, you cannot extend Umrah visas. Additionally, if you take an Umrah visa and then you want to convert it into another type of visa. It will not be possible.
