On Wednesday, the fast bowler of Pakistan Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed the title of the country’s top-rated T20I bowler in the latest rankings updated by the International Cricket Council.
This achievement highlights how prowess he is and is also an inspiration for young cricketers all over the world.
The impressive performances of Shaheen have moved him two spots up to the 17th position among T20I bowlers. According to ICC, his excellent performance in Pakistan’s current T20I series against New Zealand has helped him to achieve this title. In the first three matches of the series, Shaheen took the most wickets for Pakistan.
In the first match of the series, which was affected by rain, Shaheen still took the wicket. However, in the second match, he shined. His exceptional bowling figures 3 wickets in just 13 runs which helped Pakistan to gain victory over New Zealand by seven wickets. This outstanding performance helped him to climb up in the rankings, surpassing his teammate Haris Rauf.

Currently, the top spot in the T20I bowling rankings is held by Adil Rashid from England. Ish Sodhi from New Zealand also made significant progress by moving up five spots in the ranking. He is now in 18th position after his good performances against Pakistan.
Batting Department in T20I Rankings
When it comes to the batting department, Suryakumar Yadav from India is at the top of the T20I rankings. Tim Seifert and Mark Chapman from New Zealand are also making strides. Seifert moved up three places to 24th, while the outstanding unbeaten half-century and Player of the Match performance of Chapman in the third game series propelled him 12 places up to 33rd overall.
However, there are some setbacks for Pakistan in the batting rankings. Captain Babar Azam goes down one place to fifth while Mohammad Rizwan maintains his third position.
