Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the “Clinics on Wheels” project in Lahore. This initiative will deploy 200 mobile clinics across Punjab, aiming to provide healthcare to four million people.
During the inauguration ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that these mobile clinics will operate in densely populated urban areas where access to hospital care is often difficult. She explained that each mobile clinic is a fully equipped medical facility on wheels. It is designed to deliver healthcare services right to people’s doorsteps.

She mentioned that it takes considerable time, up to three months, to organize and implement the plans of a new government. Expressing her satisfaction with the project, she said, “Nawaz Sharif is pleased with the launch of every project.”
The Clinics on Wheels will operate in underprivileged areas for six days a week, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. CM Maryam highlighted that these clinics would provide comprehensive care, particularly for pregnant women, who will receive full medical services.
Furthermore, she announced plans to increase the number of doctors and paramedic staff in these mobile clinics. “We will give priority in recruitment to doctors from every district”, she added.
