Talat Hussain received many awards during his career, including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his special acting style. He started his acting career in the 1960s and later studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 1972.
Some of his famous TV dramas are Bandish, Karwaan, Hawain, and Parchaiyan. He also acted in films like Chiragh Jalta Raha, Gumnaam, and Actor in Law. Talat worked internationally too, and won the Amanda Award, known as the Scandinavian Oscar, in 2006 for the Norwegian film Import-Eksport. He also received the Pride of Performance award.
