Pakistan’s volleyball team celebrated a triumphant series clean sweep against Australia by winning the third and final match 3-0 at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Thursday.

Under the leadership of Murad Jehan, Pakistan showcased its strength with scores of 26-24, 25-22, and 25-20. This dominant performance sets a confident tone as they prepare for next month’s Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup.

Australia, also gearing up for the AVC Challenge Cup in Bahrain, faced tough competition and will be looking to improve its form before the tournament.

“A clean sweep in the series was our target and we have achieved it with teamwork,” an elated Murad Jehan shared after the match. “This victory means a lot to us as it gives us a big boost of confidence for the AVC Challenge Cup.”

Senior player Aimal Khan echoed Murad’s sentiments, highlighting the significance of defeating Australia 3-0. “All players are in good form, and we hope to stand victorious in Bahrain,” he said. “Our fight against a strong Australian team was commendable, and we are in full rhythm and form.”

The final match saw Rana Mashood, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, as the chief guest. Along with Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chairman Chaudhry Yaqoob, he distributed awards and trophies, praising both teams, especially Pakistan for their impressive performance.

The Pakistani team will depart for Bahrain from Sialkot Airport on Friday night. The tournament will start and end on June 2-9. Moreover, it will see Pakistan competing against other top teams from the region, furthering their quest for international acclaim.
