Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has revealed that a total of 160,000 Pakistani pilgrims will undertake the sacred journey of Hajj in 2024. This announcement comes with significant details regarding arrangements and logistics for the pilgrimage.
According to ministry’s spokesman, Pakistan Hajj Mission will accommodate 70,000 official Hajj pilgrims, while approximately 90,000 Pakistani pilgrims will embark on the journey through private Hajj companies.
Spokesman further informed the media that a substantial number of pilgrims, totaling 55,284, have already arrived in Makkah via 214 flights operating under official Hajj scheme. Additionally, over 30,000 pilgrims are currently in Saudi Arabia participating in private Hajj scheme. Hajj flights’ operation is set to continue until June 9, ensuring the safe arrival of all pilgrims.
In a recent virtual session, King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, affirmed the readiness and arrangements for upcoming Hajj season. King expressed pride in Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving the pilgrims and ensuring their comfort and well-being. He offered prayers for successful completion of Hajj rituals and acceptance of pilgrims’ supplications.
Furthermore, Saudi Cabinet discussed various matters of regional and international significance, emphasizing the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering cooperation and stability. Additionally, the session addressed domestic issues, including economic performance and regulatory approvals.

Visa Guidelines for Umrah Pilgrims
In a significant clarification, Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that Umrah visas for foreign pilgrims will be valid for 90 days from the date of entry into Saudi Arabia. As per Saudi Gazette, deadline for departing the Kingdom is Dhul Qadah 29, 1445, to facilitate the smooth flow of pilgrims to Makkah and Madinah for Hajj pilgrimage.
This clarification comes in response to inquiries made through the ministry’s “Beneficiary Care” platform on social media, ensuring clarity and adherence to visa regulations.
