Thunderstorms and Rain Expected in Lahore Until June 7th

Weather in Lahore is set to Thunderstorm and rain until June 7, according to the latest forecast from Meteorological Department. This ongoing series of thunderstorms and showers has already brought much-needed relief to city’s residents, providing a welcome break from scorching heat that has been prevailing.

Recent rainfall, which intensified on Monday night, has had a significant cooling effect on Lahore. Before rain, temperatures had been soaring, reaching as high as 40 degrees Celsius. Meteorological Department had even issued warnings of temperatures potentially rising further, up to 45 degrees Celsius.

However, rain has brought about a noticeable drop in temperatures, offering respite to city dwellers. Meteorologists predict that more showers and thunderstorms will persist in coming days, maintaining this relief.

While Lahore enjoys cooler temperatures, other parts of the country are bracing for hot weather conditions. Despite heat, there is some hope for relief in the form of evening rain in certain regions.

Rain Bring Relief From Heat

In areas like Potohar region, upper Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we expect isolated evening showers to offer relief from heat. Additionally, Islamabad and its surrounding areas may experience partly cloudy conditions, with a chance of rain later in daytime.

Forecast also includes various other regions, such as Rawalpindi Division, Galiyat, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad, where we anticipate evening rain. This rainfall, coupled with thunderstorms, is likely to bring much-needed cooling to these areas as well.

In response to weather predictions, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a weather alert to district and tehsil administrations until June 6. PDMA’s director general has informed relevant authorities about the expected rain and thunderstorms in several districts, including Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang.

As rainy weather continues in Lahore and other parts of the country, it is important for residents to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to stay safe during thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.
