Pakistan Team Has One of the Best Batsmen in World, US Envoy

US Ambassador Donald Blome has praised the Pakistan cricket team, saying they have one of the best batsmen in the world. Speaking to News Channel in Dallas before the Pakistan vs United States match in the T20 World Cup 2024, he mentioned how impressed he is with the team’s talent, particularly highlighting Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi.

Ambassador Blome shared his excitement for the upcoming match and the impact it has on cricket in the United States. “It’s really exciting. It’s a thrill to be here and to see what this means for cricket in the United States,” he said. He noted that cricket has a long history in the US, and the T20 World Cup is helping to bring the sport back into the spotlight.

US Envoy Recalls Interaction with Pakistani Cricketers

Blome recalled his recent meeting with the Pakistan cricket team in Islamabad before they traveled to the US. “I had a chance to meet the Pakistani team in Islamabad before they left and had a great time getting to know them a bit,” he shared. He finds their skill and enthusiasm impressive.
