Ravindra Jadeja Announces T20I Retirement After Kohli and Rohit

Ravindra Jadeja, the talented Indian all-rounder, has decided to bid farewell to T20 International cricket, following in the footsteps of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. His announcement came just after India’s triumphant victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup final.

In a heartfelt message shared on his official Instagram page, Jadeja expressed deep gratitude and pride in his contributions to the national team. “With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals,” he wrote. “I consider winning the T20 World Cup a dream come true, the pinnacle of my T20 International career.”

Ravindra Jadeja, known for his all-round skills, leaves behind a remarkable record in T20Is, having scored 515 runs and taken 54 wickets in 74 matches. His retirement, alongside Kohli and Rohit’s recent decisions, poses a challenge for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in finding suitable replacements. Kohli and Sharma Announces T20I Retirements

Virat Kohli had earlier announced his retirement immediately after India’s World Cup win, emphasizing the need for younger players to take the lead. Similarly, Rohit Sharma confirmed his exit from T20Is during a post-match press conference, having also focused on the 2024 T20 World Cup campaign.

Kohli concludes his illustrious T20I career as India’s second-highest run-scorer, accumulating 4,188 runs at an impressive average and strike rate. Meanwhile, Rohit departs as the format’s highest run-getter, with 4,231 runs and a record number of centuries.
