The match was thrilling, initially tied at 2-2. Munir then surged ahead, winning three consecutive sets to lead 5-2. Despite a brief comeback by Nansen in the eighth frame, Munir secured his win in the ninth frame, showcasing impressive skill and control.
Earlier, Munir had a remarkable semi-final match against fellow Pakistani Asjad Iqbal, where he made a strong comeback from a 0-2 deficit to win 5-2.
In another exciting event, Mohammad Hasnain of Pakistan won the Asian U21 Snooker Championship, defeating defending champion Ahsan Ramzan 4-3. Hasnain had an undefeated run through the group stages and knockout rounds, including a semi-final victory over Hong Kong’s Shawn Lee.
Hasnain also remained undefeated during the group stage of the tournament having beat Shawn Lee of Hong Kong in the last four clash along with defeating Ranveer Duggal of India 4-3 in the quarters. Ramzan also remains unbeaten in the championship before the final against Hasnain.
