Pakistan’s tallest man, Zia Rasheed, passed away at the age of 30 in Vehari after a prolonged illness. Known for his height of eight feet three inches, he had been suffering from a knee-related disease since the age of 20, which worsened over time due to inadequate treatment. Despite his aspirations and taekwondo training, Rasheed faced financial and health challenges throughout his life.

Zia Rasheed, known as Pakistan’s tallest man, has passed away at the age of 30 after battling a long illness. He died on Tuesday in his hometown of Vehari. Many people, including important social and political figures, attended his funeral.

Rasheed became Pakistan’s tallest man at just 15 years old, standing at an impressive eight feet and three inches tall. However, at age 20, he developed a knee-related illness that caused him severe pain. Despite his condition, he did not receive proper medical treatment, and the government did not provide the necessary support, according to a private TV channel.

Rasheed’s health continued to worsen over the years. Last year, he slipped while climbing down stairs, which made his condition even more painful. Unfortunately, he passed away on Tuesday after a long fight with his illness.

In a 2018 interview, Rasheed shared that he was learning taekwondo to stay fit and defend himself. He also mentioned that he had completed his education up to Matric (10th grade) and wanted to continue studying but faced financial and travel difficulties. Rasheed had hoped for government support to improve his life.

Zia Rasheed had a normal childhood until he experienced a significant growth spurt at the age of 12, which was later attributed to a malfunctioning pituitary gland.

This glandular issue caused an overproduction of growth hormone, leading to his extraordinary height. Despite the challenges posed by his condition, Zia’s story is one of resilience and the struggle against overwhelming odds.

This story is an example where blessing became a curse! May Allah bless this innocent soul!
