India Triumphs Over Pakistan in World Championship of Legends Final

In an electrifying finale to the World Championship of Legends, India triumphed over Pakistan, clinching victory by 5 wickets. The match, held in a packed stadium, saw India chase down a target of 157 runs in 19.1 overs.

Ambati Rayudu shone brightly for India, scoring a vital half-century that anchored the innings. His performance was bolstered by significant contributions from Gurkirat Singh Mann, who added 34 runs, and Yusuf Pathan, who scored 30. Their combined efforts guided India to a steady march towards the target.

Pakistan’s Aamir Yameen was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets, while Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, and Shoaib Malik each claimed one. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t halt India’s determined batting lineup.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a total of 156 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Shoaib Malik was the top scorer with 41 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled. Kamran Akmal contributed 24 runs, Sharjeel Khan added 12, Soheib Maqsood made 21, and Misbah-ul-Haq chipped in with 18 runs.

India’s bowling attack was led by Anwarit Singh, who took 3 crucial wickets. Vinay Kumar and Pawan Negi each secured a wicket, effectively limiting Pakistan’s score.

The Indian squad, captained by Yuvraj Singh, included seasoned players like Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, and Harbhajan Singh. Their combined experience and skills proved too formidable for the Pakistani team.

Pakistan’s squad, under the leadership of Younis Khan, featured prominent players such as Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanveer, and Sohail Khan. Despite their best efforts, they could not overcome the strong Indian side in this high-stakes match.
