Famous Writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar Kidnapped in Lahore

Famous writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar was shockingly kidnapped in an organized operation by a gang who also subjected the playwright to severe abuse, leading to several injuries, and was later released. According to the police, the kidnapping was done to demand a substantial ransom in exchange for a safe return. The news has spread quickly and caused concern among fans and colleagues.

Renowned writer and poet Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar was kidnapped and assaulted by armed men in Lahore.

The ordeal began when a woman named Amna invited Qamar to her house for a project discussion. Upon his arrival, armed men abducted him, robbed him, and demanded a hefty ransom. After paying a large sum of money, Qamar was released.

Police Report Filed

Lahore police have registered a case, detailing how Qamar was tortured, moved to different locations, and threatened with death if he did not pay the ransom. The kidnappers also stole his mobile phone, watch, and cash, and withdrew a significant amount from his ATM card. Qamar was eventually blindfolded and left in a deserted area.

Despite criticism, Qamar claimed he was interrupted and has remained unapologetic. He was also seen in a recent TV controversy with famous religious scholar Sahil Adeem.
