Nida Dar Removed as Captain of Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team

On Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a significant change in leadership, removing Nida Dar from her role as captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team. This decision came after the team’s poor performance in the Asia Cup.

Usman Wahla, PCB Director International Cricket, personally delivered the news to Dar. Wahla informed her, “You are being removed from the captaincy. Fatima Sana will take over as the captain of the Pakistan women’s team. You will remain part of the national team.”

Sources close to the development revealed that Fatima Sana is expected to be named as the new captain for the Pakistan women’s team for the upcoming World Cup. The PCB plans to make an official announcement about the new captain soon.

Nida Dar’s removal from captaincy follows a series of underwhelming performances in international tournaments, including the recent Asia Cup. Although she made significant contributions as a player, the PCB decided that a change in leadership was necessary to steer the team towards success in future competitions.

Nida Dar Replaced with Fatima Sana

In contrast, Fatima Sana, who has shown strong performances in domestic and international cricket, will now lead the team. Her appointment is intended to bring fresh energy and direction to the squad as they prepare for the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the cricket community is eagerly awaiting the official confirmation of the new captain and the team’s strategy for the World Cup. The PCB’s decision reflects its commitment to improving the team’s performance and achieving better results on the global stage.
