The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 will take place on September 22, 2024.
PM&DC has arranged for the MDCAT to be conducted at 30 locations across Pakistan, making it accessible to students nationwide. Additionally, the council has established special centers in Dubai and Riyadh to accommodate overseas candidates, allowing them to take the test closer to their locations.
Government universities across different provinces will manage the MDCAT. Specifically, the University of Health Sciences Lahore will oversee the exam in Punjab, while Dow University of Health Sciences will conduct the exam in Sindh. Meanwhile, Khyber Medical University Peshawar will handle the exam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, whereas Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will take responsibility in Balochistan. Additionally, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University will manage the test in Islamabad, and Karakoram International University will conduct the exam for students from Gilgit-Baltistan.
PM&DC has received 174,744 applications for the MDCAT this year, and afterwards, they have approved 167,000 candidates to sit for the exam. The council therefore advises these candidates to stay updated by regularly checking the official PM&DC website.

In light of this, the PM&DC President urges all candidates to prepare diligently for the upcoming exam, highlighting the importance of hard work and dedication. The council has furthermore ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place to conduct a smooth and transparent testing process. Ultimately, they aim to provide a fair opportunity for all candidates through careful planning and management of the MDCAT 2024.
