In a tragic incident, Bollywood actress Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, passed away on the morning of September 11, 2024. He reportedly died by suicide after jumping from his apartment building in Bandra, Mumbai. The incident took place around 9 a.m., and investigations by the Bandra police are ongoing. No suicide note has been found, and the reason behind the incident remains unknown.
Following the news, Malaika’s ex-husband, actor Arbaaz Khan, was seen at the family’s residence. He was along with other members of the Khan family, including Arbaaz’s siblings Sohail Khan and Alvira Agnihotri. Malaika and her sister Amrita Arora arrived at the scene later in the day.
Who Was Anil Arora?
Anil Arora had worked in the Indian Merchant Navy and was a Punjabi Hindu from the border town of Fazilka. He was married to Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian, and the couple had two daughters, Malaika and Amrita. The couple divorced when Malaika was 11 years old, after which she and her sister were raised by their mother.
Malaika Arora, known for her work as a model, dancer, and television personality, has had a successful career in Bollywood. She has judged popular dance reality shows such as “India’s Best Dancer” and “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,”.
