To further improve police conduct, the Punjab Home Department has not only introduced body cameras but also issued a strict ban on social media use among police officers while on duty.
By implementing the bodycam program, the Punjab government is taking significant steps to enhance professionalism in law enforcement. Police departments will monitor officers in real-time using the cameras, ensuring they focus on their responsibilities and treat the public with respect. Supervisors have instructed officers to concentrate on their duties instead of spending time on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook.

The authorities strictly prohibit police personnel from uploading videos in uniform and require them to get permission from their district police officer (DPO) before engaging in any social media activity while on duty.
