Shah Rukh Khan is currently in discussions with the blockbuster horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ makers for a potential collaboration on a new adventure film. The new film won’t be a part of the ‘Stree’ universe. However, it’s set to be a high-budget project that could mark the beginning of a new franchise.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in discussions with the creators of Stree 2, director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan, for an exciting new adventure film. This potential collaboration has been buzzing in the Indian film industry. It is exciting because fans eagerly anticipate what the “King of Bollywood” will bring to the big screen next.
2023 was a massive year for SRK, with his films Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki collectively grossing around ₹2500 crore worldwide. Now, as the actor plans his next moves, he’s been reviewing scripts and meeting with several filmmakers to finalize the next phase of his career. While his upcoming projects already include Sujoy Ghosh’s King and Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan 2, SRK seems keen to explore a film outside of the action genre.
King Of Multiverse Now?
According to reports from Indian media, Shah Rukh has had multiple meetings with Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan, the minds behind the successful Stree universe. However, this new film would be a standalone adventure, not connected to the Stree franchise. The makers are reportedly working on a high-budget project that could potentially kick off a new film universe.
A source close to the development revealed, “Shah Rukh Khan has been exploring a variety of ideas but nothing has truly excited him until now. He’s in talks with the Stree 2 team about this big-ticket adventure film“. Fans are eagerly waiting to see whether SRK will greenlight this project, marking his return to a different genre.
Apart from this potential collaboration, SRK has also been in discussions with directors Raj & DK, as well as some South Indian filmmakers. He is definitely keeping his options open for future projects. While filming for King begins in January 2025, a decision on this new adventure film is expected by the end of the year.
