A tragic accident occurred in Spain as a 26-year-old British content creator lost his life. The young man fell from the country’s tallest bridge while attempting to create content for social media. The authorities have not released the name of the man, who was with another British man, aged 24. They decided to climb the Castilla-La Mancha bridge, located in Talavera de la Reina, a town about 70 miles from Madrid.
The Castilla-La Mancha bridge, standing 630 feet tall, is a well-known landmark in Spain, attracting many thrill-seekers. Although the bridge is a popular spot, authorities strictly prohibit climbing it. Councillor Macarena Muñoz and other local authorities expressed sadness over the incident and reiterated that climbing the bridge is forbidden.
“According to what we have been able to find out. They had come to Talavera to climb the bridge and create content for social media,” Muñoz said in the statement. She noted that climbing the bridge is “completely forbidden and we have reiterated multiple times that it is not allowed under any circumstances,”.
The accident occurred after heavy rains, which may have made the bridge slippery, adding to the risks the men faced. A local funeral home has received the body of the 26-year-old man.
