Samsung’s Good Lock Coming to Play Store with One UI 7

Samsung’s Good Lock app is getting a global release on the Play Store with the launch of One UI 7. This means that users in all countries can download and use Good Lock, Samsung’s popular customization app, directly from the Play Store. Previously, Good Lock was primarily available in select regions through the Galaxy Store.

Samsung has exciting news for Galaxy smartphone users! Samsung’s Good Lock app, which lets users customize their device’s interface without rooting, will soon be available in all countries. With the upcoming release of Android 15-based One UI 7, Samsung plans to make Good Lock accessible through the Google Play Store, in addition to the Galaxy Store.

A Broader Reach for GL App

Good Lock, launched nearly a decade ago, is a powerful customization tool for Samsung devices. However, until now, it has been limited to select regions. In a recent announcement, Samsung confirmed that Good Lock will finally be available worldwide. A Samsung representative stated, “Starting with One UI 7.0, Good Lock can be downloaded from the Play Store as well as the Galaxy Store and used in all countries.”

This move addresses long-standing criticism from fans who have been eager for broader access to the app. Previously, the app was briefly available in some regions via the Play Store but was later removed. Now, Samsung is taking steps to ensure global availability.

Exciting New Features in One UI 7

The launch of One UI 7 will bring significant updates to the app. Samsung has announced a redesign of the app’s interface, focusing on improved usability. One of the key additions is a new “My Page” tab, which will help users manage and reset customizations quickly.

Good Lock’s modules allow users to customize various aspects of their device, such as the lock screen, home screen, gesture controls, and more. For instance, the LockStar module is designed for lock screen tweaks, while the Home Up module offers home screen and folder customizations.

With the new update, users can expect additional features like filters for finding specific modules and better organization of customization options. Samsung has also introduced new functionalities, such as placing widgets anywhere on the home screen and tweaking gesture animations.

When to Expect Samsung’s Good Lock Expansion

The redesigned app will roll out alongside the launch of the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025. Users can download the app from both the Play Store and the Galaxy Store.

This update represents Samsung’s commitment to providing a more personalized and accessible experience for its users. With its global availability, Good Lock is set to become an essential tool for Galaxy device owners.
