Speaking about the film’s newfound popularity, Mawra credited her husband, actor Ameer Gilani, calling it a stroke of “marriage luck.” She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and admitted she never expected the film to become a blockbuster after nine years.
“The only thing that has changed is my marriage. I truly feel it’s marriage luck,” Mawra shared in an interview.
Bollywood Stars Praise ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’
Following the film’s resurgence, several Bollywood celebrities have praised Mawra’s performance. Recalling the heartbreak of the film’s original release, Mawra revealed that its failure deeply affected her. However, with support from her family and Pakistani filmmakers, she bounced back to build a successful career.
On February 7, Sanam Teri Kasam’s re-release garnered a ticket sale of 152K on BMS, higher than any film’s opening day.
