Dr. Ansari was asleep in his home in Citizen Colony when a fire broke out in his room. His family members tried to put out the flames before rescue teams arrived. According to rescue officials, the fire was reported at 8:47 AM, and their team reached the house by 8:55 AM. Initial investigations suggest that an electric short circuit may have caused the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Rescue workers found Dr. Ansari’s body near the entrance of his room, indicating he may have tried to escape. His son and another family member also suffered injuries while attempting to save him and were taken to Liaquat University Hospital. The police have sealed the house and launched a thorough investigation into the incident.
Condolences
Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, expressed deep sorrow over Dr. Ansari’s passing. In a statement, he said, “The loss of Dr Aakash Ansari is a heartbreaking event, as he held a significant position in the world of literature and poetry.” Shah directed the police to thoroughly investigate the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Dr. Aakash Ansari, whose real name was Allah Bux. He was a renowned poet known for his resistance poetry and deep romantic themes. He was politically active in the past and later dedicated his life to literature. His work was admired by many, and some of his poems were even sung by legendary artists like Abida Parveen and Mohammad Yousuf.
The poet’s funeral will take place in his hometown, Badin. His contributions to Sindhi literature will always be remembered, and his poetry will continue to inspire generations to come.
