Proposed Changes in Punjab

Meanwhile, Punjab’s School Education Department has suggested reducing school hours during Ramadan. Proposal includes:

  • Girls’ schools: 7:30 am to 12:15 pm

Currently, schools in Punjab operate until 2:30 pm for boys and 2:45 pm for girls.

Final decision in Punjab will be made after further discussions with education officials. New timings are expected to begin on first day of Ramadan.

These changes aim to make it easier for students and teachers to manage their studies while fasting.

Parents and teachers are encouraged to follow the updated schedules to ensure a smooth transition. Schools will inform students about any further adjustments if needed. Government hopes these changes will provide a more comfortable learning environment during Ramadan.
