Dr Willie Soon, an astrophysicist and aerospace engineer, shared his perspective in a recent interview, citing the fine-tuning argument as evidence of deliberate creation. This concept suggests that the universe’s physical laws and conditions are so precisely set for life to exist that it is unlikely to be a mere accident.
Dr Soon built upon ideas from Paul Dirac, a Cambridge physicist famous for predicting the existence of antimatter. Dirac’s work in quantum mechanics and relativity led to groundbreaking discoveries, including an equation implying the presence of a previously unknown particle. In 1963, Dirac speculated that mathematical elegance in physics might indicate a higher intelligence at work.

If these two forces had existed in equal quantities, they would have annihilated each other completely, leaving no stars, planets, or life.
