Popular singer Neha Kakkar has addressed the backlash following her delayed appearance at a Melbourne concert. The singer took to social media on Thursday to explain what happened, revealing that she performed without payment and faced several challenges due to the event’s organizers.
Neha Kakkar Opens Up About Melbourne Concert Issues
Neha stated that she had no idea if the concert would proceed because the organizers had stopped responding to her calls. She also shared that her band members were not provided with food, water, or hotel accommodations. In response, her husband, Rohanpreet Singh, and his team stepped in to help by arranging meals for the musicians.
“Do you all know that I performed absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organizers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel, and even water,” she wrote.

Despite these obstacles, Neha decided to take the stage since her fans had been waiting for hours. However, she mentioned that technical difficulties added to the delay as the sound vendor refused to set up the audio system due to non-payment by the organizers.
Neha Kakkar Thanks Fans for Support
Neha expressed gratitude to her supporters, acknowledging their efforts to clarify the situation. She thanked those who attended the event and stood by her, despite the challenges she faced that night.
“I want to thank all those people who spoke so beautifully for me, as if all this happened to them personally. I really appreciate all the efforts they took to clarify my situation. I will always be grateful to those who attended my concert that day, cried with me, and even danced their hearts out,” she shared.

Fans React to Neha Kakkar’s Apology
Videos from the event went viral, showing Neha in tears as she addressed the audience. She apologized for the delay and assured her fans that their patience meant a lot to her. While some supported her, others criticized her for the late arrival and short performance. A concertgoer pointed out that she arrived three hours late and wrapped up the event in under an hour.
Before this incident, Neha had performed in Sydney at the Norwest Convention Centre on March 22, and that concert reportedly went smoothly.
