In a deeply saddening turn of events, Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son, Asim Jamil, met with a tragic incident in Talumba, Punjab. Asim lost his life after being shot by unidentified individuals. However, the entire nation mourns this loss.
In a devastating turn of events, Asim Jamil, the son of respected Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, was tragically killed on Sunday. This heart-wrenching incident occurred in Tulamba Tehsil, Khanewal district, Punjab.
Initial reports indicate that Asim Jamil’s body was swiftly transported to Tulamba Hospital for further attention.
DPO Khanewal, Rana Umar Farooq Salamat, confirmed the grim news. He states that Asim Jamil sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his chest. Additionally, a relative of Tariq Jamil has suggested that Asim may have taken his own life.
A thorough investigation has been launched by the police to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
Maulana Tariq Jamil turned to social media to share his profound grief. He expressed, “My son Asim Jamil passed away today in Tulamba. This sudden loss has cast a pall of sorrow over us all.”
The revered scholar further implored, “We humbly ask for your prayers during this grievous time. May Allah grant my son a place of honor in Jannat.”

Family Disagrees on Post-Mortem Examination
Dr. Asif from Talamba Rural Health Center, mentioned that the family of the departed individual is hesitant about having a post-mortem conducted. Moreover, he explained, “Currently, there are talks happening between the family members and the police about the post-mortem.”
Dr. Asif also stated that the family members haven’t shared much information. Saying, “All we can confirm is that he was shot in the chest, which led to his passing.
Punjab IGP, Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken note of this distressing event. However, he has also instructed the DPO to gather forensic evidence in order to determine the cause of Asim Jamil’s passing.
