Saudi Arabia has announced four-day holidays to observe Eid while Pakistanis will enjoy five-day holidays on this special occasion.
Eid-ul-Fitr is also known as the Festival of breaking the fast. It is Islamic holiday which Muslims celebrated all over the world. It celebrates at the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting observed by Muslims. They spend this special occasion with their families and friends, offer special prayers and give charity to poor. Some traditional things include wearing new clothes, exchanging gifts, and sharing sweets with loved ones.
Holidays Announcement in Saudi Arabia
To celebrate the religious festival of Muslims, Eid-ul-Fitr, Saudi Arabia has announced four-day holidays for employees of both public and private sectors.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development declared four holidays starting from Monday, April 8th until Thursday, April 11th. This decision gives most workers a well-deserved break.

To celebrate Eid, employees will enjoy six day holidays because friday and saturday already off as weekend holidays in Saudi Arabia. After Eid celebration, employees of both public and private sector will go back to work on Sunday, April 14th. Eid-ul-fitr markes the end of Ramadan, which start with the first Ramadan observed in Saudi Arabia on March 11th.
Holidays in Pakistan on Eid ul Fitr
In Pakistan, Eid is expected to fall o April 10th or 11th. Government announced three official holidays to celebrate the special occasion of Muslims. Holidays are scheduled to start from Wednesday, April 10th, and will ends on Friday, April 12th. As saturday and sunday are usual holidays as weekend in Pakistan. Therefore, Pakistanis will also enjoy a five-day to celebrate the religius festival and spend time with family and friends.
