Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal Tie Knot in Mumbai

Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a glamorous wedding ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday. The event was filled with stars and joyous celebrations.

The wedding festivities kicked off with an intimate civil ceremony, followed by a grand party at Bastian, a well-known venue in Mumbai. Times of India reported that the dress code was “formal and festive, just don’t wear red,” setting a unique tone for the celebration.

Before wedding, Iqbal Ratansi, groom’s father, told The Indian Express that the wedding would be a civil ceremony without any Hindu or Muslim rituals. He emphasized that religion had no role in their union and that Sonakshi Sinha would not convert to Islam.

In an Instagram post, newlyweds expressed their love and happiness: “On this very day, seven years back in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.”

The couple wore matching ivory outfits for the ceremony. Sonakshi’s elegant look came from her mother’s wardrobe; she wore Poonam Sinha’s wedding saree and matching jewelry. Zaheer complemented her in an ivory embroidered kurta and pyjama.

For reception, Sonakshi Sinha dazzled in a traditional red Varanasi silk saree by Raw Mango. The saree featured delicate gold motifs inspired by an 18th-century design. She accessorized with jhumkas, a matching choker, and gajra in her hair. Zaheer continued his elegant style in a complementing outfit.

Bollywood Stars Light Up the Reception

Many Bollywood stars attended the wedding reception, including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Rekha, Chunky Panday, Kajol, and Arbaaz Khan. Other notable guests were Saira Banu, Vidya Balan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Tabu. Rapper Honey Singh performed, adding to the lively atmosphere as guests danced and celebrated.

Before wedding, there was much speculation about the couple’s plans. However, Sonakshi remained tight-lipped, stating that it was “nobody’s business.” The news was confirmed after the wedding invitation leaked online. The couple’s wedding was a beautiful blend of love, family, and glamour.
