Renowned film writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar has announced that he will no longer work with Pakistan’s top actress, Saba Qamar. During an appearance on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast, Khalil explained his decision, which has sparked much discussion in the entertainment industry.
“I will never cast Saba Qamar again in any of my dramas. I think I won’t be working with her ever because the kind of clothes she wears don’t go well with me,” Khalil stated. This surprising revelation came from the writer known for hit dramas like “Sadqay Tumhare.”
Despite acknowledging Saba’s talent, Khalil expressed his discomfort with her style of dressing. “Although she’s a wonderful actress, I like her work. She has given a stellar performance in my drama serial ‘Bunty I Love You’. However, such kind of dressing is against our norms and culture,” he added. Khalil clarified that he respects Saba’s personal choices. He feels it’s his right to choose who he works with based on his own values.
Saba Qamar, who played a remarkable role in “Bunty I Love You,” has often shared glimpses of her luxurious home with her fans. She has also made stylish appearances, such as at the opening of The Carnival City in Bahria Town, Karachi.
The news has stirred reactions among fans and industry insiders. Many appreciate Saba’s acting skills and personal style, while others understand Khalil’s viewpoint on cultural values. This disagreement highlights the ongoing conversation about personal freedom and cultural expectations in the entertainment industry.
