Seven new lawsuits arise against hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct. The lawsuits include claims from four men and three women. Some of them allege they were drugged and assaulted at parties hosted by Combs between 2000 and 2022 in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

One plaintiff is a woman referred to as Jane Doe. She says that she was only 13 years old when she got an invitation to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000. She claims she was drugged, raped by a male celebrity, and then by Combs while others watched. Another lawsuit involves a 17-year-old male who says Combs assaulted him at a party in 2022, promising to help him become a star.

Since November 2023, at least 25 civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs with allegations of sexual assault or misconduct. The initial lawsuit, filed by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, was settled the next day. The other cases remain active. Combs is already facing federal charges for sex trafficking and racketeering. He has denied all allegations and remains in custody while awaiting trial, set for May 2025.

Despite these mounting accusations, Combs’ legal team is fighting to secure his release from custody. They have filed appeals, arguing that his detention conditions and new evidence should allow him to be freed before the trial. Prosecutors, however, maintain that Combs has a history of using intimidation and threats to silence witnesses, and they oppose granting him bail.

Life Full Of Glam And Controversies

The allegations in the lawsuits against Combs date back to the 1990s. He founded his record label, Bad Boy Records, which Rolling Stone called “one of the most influential hip-hop labels of all time.” The label has signed major artists such as The Notorious BIG, Janelle Monáe, and Cassie. It also released several Combs albums, including “Press Play” and “Last Train To Paris.”

In 2005, Combs sold a 50 percent stake in Bad Boy to Warner Music Group for a reported $30 million. Combs has built a fortune through Bad Boy Records, liquor brands, fashion labels, and other ventures. Earlier this year, he sold his stake in the DeLeón tequila brand for $200 million. His ranking was 14th on Forbes’ 2022 list of highest-paid entertainers, earning an estimated $90 million that year. One of the homes authorities searched belongs to the rapper in Holmby Hills, an affluent neighborhood where Combs purchased a $40 million home ten years ago.
