The 38-year-old spinner’s outstanding form was evident in the second and third Tests held in Multan and Rawalpindi. Across these two matches, Noman took an impressive 20 wickets at an average of 13.85. His peak performance came during the second Test. He dominated England’s batting lineup, recording figures of 8/46—his best in Test cricket. Moreover, this exceptional spell helped Pakistan bounce back from a loss in the first Test to level the series.
Noman contributed not only with his bowling but also a tremendous batting. In the final Test match, he showcased his batting skills. He made a crucial 45-run with his bat that helped Pakistan recover from a challenging position. He later took six wickets in England’s second innings, enabling Pakistan to bowl out the visitors for a low score of 112, ultimately clinching the series.
