Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reaffirmed his support for PTI Founder Imran Khan and vowed to continue the November 24 protest until meeting their demands. Speaking to reporters, Gandapur urged the public to join the protest and support Imran Khan’s fight for Pakistan.
“We will reach D-Chowk and continue our protest until we secure the release of the former prime minister and party workers,” Gandapur declared. He stressed that protecting the Constitution remains a key demand.
Gandapur accused the federal government of obstructing their path with tear gas and firing. “If any damage occurs, I will hold the federal government fully responsible,” he warned.
He promised to follow Imran Khan’s directives, stating that they would only begin negotiations with the government after Khan’s release. “PTI workers and I will reach D-Chowk at any cost,” Gandapur said. He criticized the federal and Punjab governments for blocking highways and motorways, calling their actions a sign of panic.
Government Blocks Protests Amid Court Orders
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi contacted PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar to discuss the situation surrounding the November 24 protest. Naqvi informed Gohar about the Islamabad High Court’s orders, which prohibit processions, sit-ins, or rallies in the capital.
“The Islamabad High Court’s order binds us, so we cannot allow such activities,” Naqvi stated. He emphasized the government’s commitment to following court directives and urged PTI to comply with the law.
Naqvi revealed that a high-level Belarusian delegation would arrive in Islamabad on November 24, followed by the president of Belarus on November 25. He highlighted the importance of ensuring security during their stay, which will last until November 27.
