NUST Achieves 127th Rank Globally in Engineering & Technology

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has achieved a significant milestone in the QS Subject Rankings 2025. This represents a 17-position jump from the previous year. With the addition of Architecture/Built Environment, the institution now has subjects ranked in all five broad subject areas.

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has made significant progress in global rankings. The esteemed university has secured the 127th position in Engineering and Technology in the QS Subject Rankings 2025. This marks an impressive improvement of 17 places from the previous year.

For the first time, NUST has been ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide in four subjects: Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The university has also improved its ranking in 11 subject areas while maintaining its position in five others.

NUST has shown strong growth in key academic disciplines. In Natural Sciences, it has advanced 72 places, reaching the 322nd spot globally. Similarly, in Social Sciences and Management, the university has climbed 39 positions to stand at 361. These advancements highlight NUST’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and research.

This year also marks the inclusion of Architecture/Built Environment in the rankings, meaning NUST now has at least one subject ranked in all five broad subject categories. This reflects its continued expansion across multiple fields of study.
