Table talk outside the NATO
KYIV/LVIV, Ukraine. A new round of talks between Moscow and Kyiv on the status of Ukraine outside NATO raised hope on Wednesday for a potential breakthrough after three weeks of the war.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said negotiations were becoming “more realistic,”. While Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the proposals were “close to an agreement.”
Russian Troops
Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who sent troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24, said Moscow was willing to discuss a neutral status for its neighbor.
In addition, Putin maintained that Russia would achieve its goals in Ukraine. It would not submit to Western attempts to attain global dominance and dismember the country. He said that the military operation was going as planned during a televised address.
