French Stars; Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard & Juliette Binoche have recorded themselves and chop off their hair. Different French stars related to screen as well as music followed the act. The act denoted in support of protesters in Iran. Binoche made a complete video while cutting off her hair. She remarked in the video: “For freedom,” as she cut off her hair using scissors. The video went viral on Wednesday with a hashtag trend #HairForFreedom. The move came as the Islamic Republic of Iran is struggling with antigovernmental protests.
The death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini is the main reason for these protests. She was arrested on 13-September in the Iranian capital for allegedly violating Iran’s strict codification. Iranian girls have taken off their headscarves and cut their hair to protest against Amini’s death. The video of Cotillard, Binoche, as well as dozens of other celebrities cutting off hair went viral on an Instagram account. The account is titled as “Soutien femmes Iran” – that translates as “support girls in Iran”. “These girls, these men are a unit inquiring for our support.”
Moreover, some of the girls who took the French stars Charlotte Rampling and Charlotte Gainsbourg as their role models conjointly recorded their video cutting their hair. All of this to show solidarity with the women in Iran.

Since Amini’s death, Iran’s rulers are grappling with the largest nationwide unrest in years. According to estimates about 130 individuals have died in clashes and protests, in keeping with rights teams.
