Iran Seals Border with Afghanistan Over Terrorism Concerns
Iran has decided to seal its border with Afghanistan due to growing concerns about terrorism. The border between the two countries stretches for about 920 kilometers.
Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021, there has been a noticeable rise in terrorist activities, affecting neighboring countries, including Iran. Various terrorist groups, like the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Islamic State of Khorasan, have found safe havens in Afghanistan.
