Tragic Coal Mine Explosion in Iran: At Least 52 Dead

A coal mine in Iran's South Khorasan Province suffered a devastating explosion, resulting in at least 52 deaths. State television reported that a gas explosion caused the disaster, and many workers remain trapped inside the mine. The blast occurred around 9 p.m. local time on Saturday, triggered by a buildup of methane gas in sections B and C of the mine operated by the Madanjoo company. At the time, 69 workers were present in these areas. Emergency responders confirmed that 19 people died at the scene, and 12 others sustained injuries.
