Pakistan Launches Second Communication Satellite MM1 from China Satellite Center

On Thursday, Pakistan successfully launched its second communication satellite, PakSat MM1, from China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center. This satellite is a joint venture between Pakistan's Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) and the Chinese Aerospace Industry. Zafar Iqbal, the Acting Chairman of SUPARCO, announced that this is Pakistan's second communication satellite, following the first one launched in 2011.
