Tax-free industrial zone to be establish in Talagang, Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has announced that after providing a network of roads in Talagang, an industrial zone will be established and it will also be declared tax-free. Addressing a rally in Talagang, he said lifting the ban on recruitment in government departments would provide thousands of jobs to the people of the area along with the factories in the industrial zone. A medical college and an engineering university will also be established at Talagang. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi reminded us that the Punjab Assembly has approved the Ehsaas Program Bill which will now be implemented in the entire province. Journalist Arshad Sharif killed in Nairobi, Kenya

The 49-year-old journalist, who fled Pakistan in August after multiple cases were filed for criticizing the military, was shot dead in Kenya. A prominent Pakistani investigative journalist Arshad Sharif critical of the country's powerful military has been killed in Kenya nearly two months after he left Pakistan. "I lost my friend, husband and my favorite journalist today, according to the police he was shot in Kenya," Jawaria Siddique tweeted about the death of her husband Arshad Sharif on Sunday night. NUST researchers have done it yet again by releasing Pakistan's first truly indigenous embedded microprocessor.
